4th March – 8pm – JazzMain – JazzMain’s popularity as Scotland’s longest established ‘same personnel’ quartet remains undimmed. Now into its 15th year, the band continues to flourish keeping the flame of West Coast 50’s and 60’s ‘Blue Note’ Jazz alive. Expect some great arrangements from the well-known and not-so-well known US jazz canon. JazzMain is – Nick Gould (tenor), Steve Grossart (piano), Iain Harkness (electric 5 string bass) and Kevin Dorrian (drums)

12th March – 8pm – Tom McNiven Quintet – Trumpet and flugelhorn maestro Tom McNiven is an ever-present in The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and by dint of that, his musical CV is sublime – playing for the likes of Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, Kurt Elling and Eddi Reader. Moreover, he is a lead tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and tonight brings together a great band which will include some students and alumni from the wonderful institution.
